A Couple Of Calendar Questions

I'm (finally) working on the 2021 farm calendar. In past years I've chosen 12 of my favorite pictures from the previous 12 months.  This year has been a tough scroll back.  Lots of the top billed calendar stars are not heading into the new year with us.  I can't imagine making a calendar without Comby or Hank or the Titans...but it's hard to make one with them.

Do you want to see them one last year?  Would that be too sad and you'd rather not?

If I use photos I took for Instagram posts, there are many more scenes to choose from.  To use those pictures though would make the calendars a little taller because the pictures were taken to fit a square format rather than rectangle.

Is that going to make anyone twitchy?

Speaking of getting twitchy...the new blogger format.... Argh...

I'd say to include them, but that is me. :) I know, it has been a super tough year for you.

I hear you re. new blogger format.
I think it is kinda sentimental to go ahead and add those dears who have parted ways. It's endearing - means they are remembered fondly.
My 2 cents~

Sara, I too would like to see Hank, Comby and the others for one last year, even though I’ll undoubtedly tear up looking at their dear faces. However, what matters most to me is how you will feel. If it’s too hard and sad for you, leave them out.

Do what makes you smile:) I guess the new blogger format must be like the old Live Writer format cause I don't have a problem...so far!~

I would love to see anyone you feel comfortable putting in. They are all beloved.

I think including them would be a fitting memorial.

Whatever makes you feel better. You still love them, even though they are now across the Rainbow Bridge.

I think an "Old Friends" calendar is a lovely idea. Sad, yes, but I'd much rather focus on those that we have loved and lost than some of the current reality.

You know I come down on the side of including everyone from this year. They may be gone but they are still here in our hearts and leaving them out would be to ignore the space they left behind.

But we know I'm a soft touch.....

I would love to carry their faces into the new year. I think they deserve that. I know it won't be easy so I'm sending you hugs in advance. Taller calendar is not a problem for me.

I'd never tire of seeing Hank. Whenever I run across photos of my departed animals I feel so happy to see them again. Since you've lost so many this year I think a calendar tribute to them would be nice.

I'm with the other commenters. They were great critters. They deserve a place in the calendar.

I can imagine it will be a hard task for you, but if you can.....I would love a calendar that includes those dear to us. It will, at first glance, tug at my heartstrings but then the memories will make me smile.

I think it would be lovely and oh so comforting to include them. How very kind of you to ask.

In what was my other passion and pay the bills job as a veterinary technician on of my duties was to assist with or administer euthanasia. I learned volumes about people from my experiences. And I did a good amount of home euthanasia’s .

As painful as losing a companion is I have walked away with the belief that we choose to include these these creatures in our lives . That were a part of our daily existence. Should we not honor them afterwards? To not do so in my book is to minimalize their value in our lives.

I'd love to see the ones who are gone one last time. 2020 was bad enuf that never seeing Comby or Hank again is too much. Any calendar size works for me.

I agree with all those who feel it would be a fitting memorial to all those loved ones who are gone. I t will be sad to see them but there are so many cherished memories.

I look forward to the calendar whatever size it is.

Just my opinion but I would love to see Hank. I miss him. It's your choice though and you should do what you feel like doing.

I agree with many comments above...would love to see their sweet faces, but only if it’s not too hard on your heart. And I love seeing all your pics on Instagram too...so any size calendar is great! I would love to see the lamb pics too 💕
