Buddy

Well...he didn't live forever.  He didn't go down without a helluva fight though and I had to call it in the end.  I think he understood.

I'm so sorry, Sara, both on his loss and on you having to make the call. Oh, that we could all just go peacefully in our sleep....

Bye Buddy! Sending you a hug Sarah, it is never easy loving animals, in the end you just have to take the best care of them unfortunately sometimes that means taking them so they will say goodbye:(

Oh, I’m so sorry, Sara. It’s the most difficult part of having animals...but when we love them we have no choice. I’ve just been reading some of your older posts about Buddy. What a character! And definitely a cutie patootie. I hope all your great memories of him will be a comfort.

Dear Sara, I am so sorry that Buddy is gone now. We never have enough time with those we love.

Buddy had a long happy life with you and all his other flock friends. His age was a testament to your good care. I'm sure he understood. You now have many happy memories and photos to remember him by.

Good shepherds have to do hard things.

You are a good shepherd.

I'm sorry to hear that Buddy is gone, but I know there are so many wonderful memories.

Blessings on all of you.

Oh. Darn it. I'm so sorry. I wish all our animals could live forever and ever and ever. Hugs to you Sara...things like this is never ever easy. Sigh.

We are all sad to see him go. He was a grand sheep! (((Hugs)))

Buddy was one in a million. It will be hard not to hear him being the Town Crier when there are cookies or 'adventures' happening in the yard. Maybe somebody else will pick up the megaphone but there will always only be one Buddy.

So hard to make that switch from "doing everything to help them keep going" to "helping them leave us behind."

:-(

He was a dear, dear boy. I'm go glad I got to feed him Cheerios last year.

Sending hugs.

You have had a sad year with your sheepies. I know these partings, although probably expected, are dreadfully hard. I feel your pain. Cindy L (Green Haven Farmgirl)
