I love this photo of Comby and the flowers. I am am avid (obsessive) putter-togetherer of your puzzles, and I'm wondering if it would be possible to make this one into a puzzle? If it is too much work, that's OK--I will survive lol, but the contrasting colors would be so fun to match together. Thank you for your blog. Reading your posts is always a highlight for one of my days.
Oh Sara, thank you for posting this wonderful picture of Comby! I immediately called my husband into the room to show him, & we both said, at almost the same time, "Calendar photo!". Comby is always so striking with his handsome coloring contrasting with other colors; the flowers, the snow, the garden, etc.
Last month marked 8 years since our beloved Jasper (Comby's doppelgänger!) passed away, 1 week before his 19th birthday. For the first 5 years I wore his tag on a silver chain; I was so mired in grief. Being disabled & bedridden much of each day, I had come to rely on him so very much, along with my other 4 cats, for companionship & love. Gradually they all passed away, one by one, of old age, & I was finally able to make my peace with that, grateful that they all had lived very long, loving lives. I know that many cat parents have had that one extra special, extraordinary kitty that they'll never forget, & Jasper was mine.
One of my most important bucket list items is to attend one of your "open farm events", & I hope & pray that Comby will still be with you then. If you are wondering where he may be that day, just look for the crazy ginger cat lady in the wheelchair! =^..^=
I've enjoyed reading all the comments about this picture. I tend to be a glass half empty sort of fool and while I do like Comby and flowers, mostly what I see is the grungy gas tank, the crooked fences, the water hydrant... It IS a nice picture of a dear, dear old friend who looks very content sitting there, not noticing any of the messy stuff. Good lesson. From you and him.

Your flowers are beautiful! Glad Comby is watching them grow :-)
What a sweet face.
Some days it is nice to hide in the flowers and just watch
He is a beautiful boy just keeping watch on his garden.

Comby is brilliantly color-coordinating.
I know it's a tradition to have Comby sleeping in the calendar, but that photo is beautiful and imo calendar worthy.

Warm Regards, [Comby Fan] Lisa
This needs to go in the next calendar. He'll appreciate having one in them where he is awake. :)
