Wool Is Warm

Chickens aren't dumb ;-).

Lila makes a pretty cozy snuggle buddy when it's cold!

These chickens just don't seem as warm ;-).

Some of the sheep stayed in the barn this morning and some went out.  Jester was cold last night, but he was up and out grazing this morning.  Ford was with him, but Henri stayed in the shed. I've got another series of cold shots to post in a bit.

Wonder is she knows the chicken is ever there. I could use some wool to snuggle with today.

There is nothing like wool! Especially wool that is still on its source!! I couldn't believe that was Lila! She's so...fluffy! I could identify her from behind by those ears, though.

And her cute wrinkly nose :-).

I think they both look pretty warm because I think chickens could make a great hand warmer! :-)!

Love the video in the last post and the pictures in this one. Just wondering how the bedding stays so clean with all those sheep, and chickens, in there!

Well, I add fresh bedding to the straw pack a couple times per week. The chickens actually help keep things fluffed up :-).

That is the cutest thing! How you manage to capture these sweet moments is just amazing! I would love to have a Lila pillow too. She looks so cozy!

We have had frigid weather here this week, our coldest night was -22 with wind chills of -34. Everyone needed a snuggle friend- including myself! I slept under down and two wool blankets with a wool shawl wrapped around my shoulders.
