Sunday Stills - Rays Of Sunshine

I almost missed this week's challenge too. Earlier in the week when it was super sunshiney, it was also so hot that I didn't feel very inspired to play with the camera. Yesterday, late afternoon, playing cards with Janbaby and City Boy (and City Boy's monkey), the sun broke through the clouds for a moment and I lucked into this interesting shot.

The monkey is one of City Boy's childhood toys. He's not sure it wasn't a hand me down on top of it, so suffice to say it's at least 50 years old. It's been called back into service this weekend for a variety of photo shoots so numerous it makes 20 look like an amateur.

Why Saint Tim and City Boy are taking a million pictures of a, albeit cute, monkey playing cards, kayaking, hiking, watching football, reading fishing magazines, shopping for lures...is a long story. But I think the monkey is probably having a great time :-).

For more Sunny Sunday Stills...

The cool looking Joker is from Uusi's Blue Blood Playing Cards.

very artistic photo with that lighting. But you need to spend more time behind the camera, seriously Blossom and 20 have been MIA for quite a while.

Would that be our friend, "Curious George"? Be careful, he likes to get into trouble! :-)

So the boys are monkeying around are they? Well, you got a great shot anyway!

You could write a whole novel around this photo. I can just see it on the cover of a book. Great shot.

There's a story waiting to be told in that shot.

I love this photo. Very moody.

Ditto what Dancing Donkey said. Is the monkey gambling something important? Telling a fortune? Playing solitaire because he's all alone? So many questions.......must have answers!

Really loved this shot. Both rays and a really different slant on it than most of us. Great.
