Some yard shots as the sun went down.
A backlit bee :-).
These weeds would not be in the garden. I repeat, would not be...oh never mind.
Our swarm tree. Stella's named her hives after the trees they were collected from - Pine, Cherry, Locust. Mine are The Blue Hive, The Mouse Hive. I could probably do better.
This popped up in the middle of the corn patch. Millet?
I had fun catching the sunburst.
And our "favorite" little dog, sitting in the middle of one of the raised beds, photo taken after the sun was completely down, with my cute little 50mm 1.8 lens.
Corgis - it's a good thing they're cute too...

These really are beautiful photos. I keep telling myself someday I am going to take the time to learn how to create beautiful photos, but I know I never will. Always seems like there is something else to do. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Beautiful shots Sara...I love back light too. Things must have cooled down at your place. Our temperatures are certainly much more pleasant now.
Hope all is well.
I love getting back-lit photos! You did real good!

Don't forget "It's a rule if I say so" (or something like that)
I especially like the first photo where the light shines not only from the back, but through the leaves as well. Really nice composition, Sara ;-)
I really enjoy your blog and the photos are just beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely beautiful photos!
The backlit flower shots are marvelous! I think that's a rogue sorghum plant, doesn't look like millet to me.
Lovely shots...the sun is just right this time of year, yes?
I love my 50mm, too. Gorgeous pics - you are a great photographer. The boots shot was so wonderful, too.
