Horse Play

Remember the pictures of Handy and Gato face fighting one morning last summer?

The new camera has a video function and I've been dying to try it. When I saw those two firing it up yesterday afternoon, I had my chance. What I really wanted was the famous 'back you all over the farm' scene that I usually watch. The old man (Handy) must have been feeling pretty good though because he threw in a few leg lifts this time, too.

Handy then tried to pick a play fight with T-Bone, but I think T had gotten his feelings hurt with the earlier choice of Gato and wanted nothing to do with him. I love Handy's yawn at the end. No wonder he'd rather play with Gato ;-).

Boys.

Sorry for the shakiness of the shots. This camera and lens is much heavier than the palm size video camera. When I'm old and in the nursing home, I'll be glad to have these clips though. And, if I'd had to run to the house to get the video camera, I'd have missed it all. Good trade.

You would think that handy was the younger of the horses from the kicking and romping going on. you are right, T-Bone is not much into "horse play". fun winter video to watch. Do they neigh while they are romping?

Thanks for sharing the fun! I miss being around horses, and their antics. Glad the old boy is feeling so spry. That warms the heart too. My Mom had a palomino gelding who was a mess (but we loved him anyway). He would get mad at one of the other two horses, and would back up towards them all over the field and this would go on for long minutes at a time. Of course the other horses easily avoided him, as it's hard to make much progress when you are backing up. It was hysterical to watch though.

I've got a little more flexibility on the videocam but the digital camera movie mode sure is lots more convienient. enjoyed watching the boys play.
