Tabitha

Very few of our Jacob sheep get to be well known around here.  Several are remembered for their stories, but remained cookie "tossers" until the very end of their lives.

Tabitha was loved by everyone and she loved family and visitors alike.  While she was never hugged or even touched by anyone other than us, she was very happy to come up and take cookies straight from your hand.  Everyone loved that about her.

She has not been well for a couple of years and the last month has been a struggle.  She stayed happy until the end though and went out grazing in Del Boca Vista every day and ate cookies and Cheerios when she lost her appetite for regular food.

I knew the heat this week was going to be very hard on her and I'm glad she left us at the beginning of the week rather than struggling through several more really hard days.  She was a good sheep and we will all miss her.

She always seemed like an eccentric character. I will miss seeing her.

She will be truly missed by you and her human friends as well as the rest of the sheep-yard. I am always so sad when you eulogize one of your dear sheep, but thank you for letting us all know. Tabitha was a dear soul.

Tabitha looks so sweet and her fleece was lovely. She was lucky to have had her place in Punkin's Patch and with you.

Hugs!

I remember when you brought them home. You talked about their crazy horns and told us their names - all Ts. So sorry she's gone.

Dear Tabitha. I am very sorry for your loss. After so many years of living with your flock it is very sad when another one is gone. It is a relief though to miss the heat. Take care and stay as cool as possible.

Just now reading of Tabitha's death. She was a beautiful Jacob fleece, Jacob fleeces were such fun to spin, and I remember when she arrived. You gave her a good life and showed us her life mattered, as do all your animals. Thank you.
