This has been the hottest summer I can ever remember. Usually I can count on one hand the number of days over 90. I've lost track of how many we've had this year...so far. Today was a blessing. Low 80s, a nice breeze, low humidity (because we are so, so dry unfortunately).
After lunch I grabbed my favorite chair and settled in with some of my best friends.
Bea was by my side. Jared and Short Round were napping to my right and Baaxter and Tabitha were napping behind me.

What a nice afternoon with friends! I have those same crocs...and i wear them with socks too:)
every summer feels hotter than the last for me. the older I get the less I can take the heat.
When I was a kid we lived on Kootenay Lake and my summers were spent on the beach, swimming and thinking that summer was too short. Now that I am old, I hide out from the summer heat and one of my favourite places , like yours, is in the barn, looking forward to the crisp coolness of autumn which seems so far away.
My dear AMIL wasn't bothered by heat in the least until she got to be over 70.
Your haven in the barn with friends looks wonderful.
Wishing you a day or two or three of steady but gentle rain - soon.
Hugs!
I hope your somewhat milder weather continues and with some rain.
Our days have been very hot until today but it still fells too warm for me to work in the garden. It will have to wait.
You have such sweet friends to keep you company.
The weather really has been extremely hot. We're in Texas and it's been unbearable with the heat warnings too. Hoping things cool down for us and you.
Love your sheep ♥
I love sitting with bffs. It makes the day seem so much sweeter.
