A Warm Winter's Nap

Sweet old Salt.

The Salt thermometer says it's hovering around freezing.  It has to get at least that cold before she goes in search of a warm nap spot.  Her demeanor around the sheep is so quiet that even the most suspicious sheep (like PPPP) don't mind her company.

Everything is fine here.  I've just been so stinking busy trying to keep all the plates spinning that the blog (and even IG) has sadly been neglected.  I think it's sweet that when it gets too quiet you all start worrying.  I'm sorry I let that happen though.  Sigh...

Anyone else starting to get a little sore about losing that extra week with Thanksgiving being so late this year :-o.

On a good note, I came up with a brilliant title for the Christmas card this year.  Sometimes it takes a couple of several days and it usually the most stressful part of the design process.  This year I nailed it straight off...and now have the song stuck in my head as I struggle to paint.  Over and over and over and over and over...

"Serenity now!!!"  ;-D

I just gave up on Christmas this year; no tree, no decorating, no special baking, no cards or letter. Kudos to you for CREATING and sending cards!!!

What a sweet pix. I actually got cards sent out this year - yay! Doesn't happen every year. So do you do a "word of the year?" Or have you heard of it? It can be surprisingly grounding. Glad you're well :-)

Glad to hear someone else is still working on cards. I usually do a photo card and have them sent by now. Not this year!

I wasn't worried about you at all. I knew you were concentrating on the Christmas card :-)

It is so peaceful seeing Salt with her sheep.
I agree December goes much too quickly. We need twice the number of days to prepare for Christmas.
I only have a few cards sent and ALL the wrapping to do.

Sleigh Bells is driving you crazy I bet! I am all messed up as I am subbing for 20 days which is a wonderful thing considering Sadie's knee surgery. It is messing me up with getting ski gear out the door for 70+ skiers!

Yes, I was one of the worriers. I started thinking “who haven’t we seen in a photo recently? Uh- oh...” I’m glad it’s just the Christmas rush. But remember, God doesn’t care if all the decorations aren’t up, the cards mailed out, and the cookies aren’t baked. Or the presents wrapped, or even bought. He bought the best present, and that Present gave us life.

Hugs.

if you have a good busy going on then that is okay! Yes it's weird to have a short time between Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Give me patience, and I need it NOW! :-) :-) :-)

For me it's not only the very late TG, but then we were out of town for the week after TG! It was a lovely trip, to a beautiful place, but still....

Feeling the time crunch.........
