Aaaand We're Back...And We Brought Company

Sorry to be blogless for so long.  I've had the perfect storm of no computer internet access...and for anyone not following IG/Twitter/FB...

This is Abby Lamby.  She was two weeks old yesterday and, boy, has she had a tough two weeks.  She had a very traumatic birth (sheepmom had to do mouth to mouth to even get her started) and ended up with some serious complications that have kept several shepherds and vets working together as what is now being called Team Abby over on Instagram.  I just love that!

So yes, she came from Nistock Farms so she's sweet and beautiful and smart and tough...like all sheep ;-).   Her dad is Brick and Brick's dad was Rocky, which reminds me I've never done an official welcome to the farm post for "the boys".  It's going to take me a bit to catch up.

I also have new Lamb Camp photos to share...once Abby lets me spend some time in the office ;-).

Abby's running! Abby's jumping! What a change, just in the past few days. You must be so relieved. I confess that I have been obsessively checking your Instagram posts ever since she arrived, hoping everything would work out well. You and the rest of Team Abby have done a great job (and I can't help but think that darling Mrs. P. has also been watching over Abby from above). Abby Lamby, sweet, beautiful, tough little girl, you're going to love your life at Punkin's Patch.

What a sweetie lambie! And those little teefers. She is so tiny, cat-sized it seems.

Nice to see her running and jumping, hope that means she is feeling better. That roller-coaster ride of well, not well, half way well, is a tough one.

Hey Sara....she's come a long way baby! Such improvement! So happy for both of you.

Abby looks better by the day thanks to the superior care she gets from her team, mostly you. I hope life gets easier now that she's bouncing around the barn.

I’ve been following on IG. It was terrifying when you didn’t keep up your usual posting rates on Ravelry and your blog. I prayed that I wouldn’t open up a post one morning with sad news (the aphorism of shepherd Lee Langstaff that “when you have livestock you have deadstock” kept coming unbidden in my head -ick).

When the photos of Abby with Comby/Kate/Adventure Chickens/Betsy began, I began to hope. When you posted Abby nipping Comby’s tail, climbing the (dirt?) pile, and jumping a real baby lamb jump - oh, bliss! 👏🏻👍🙏🏻😍 Hooray for Team Abby! Three cheers! Way to go!!

What a beautiful little lamb. Such a rocky start, but she is jumping and running and enjoying life. Sweet life is all I wish for her.

So happy to hear Abby's coming along nicely! I am convinced that the atmosphere over Equinox Farm is magical and the special "kids" that arrive, thanks to you, are blessed with a lovely life. <3
