I sent a couple friends an iPhone photo of this lamb sleeping with his mouth all smushed up on his foot and they both came back with the exact same comment, so Kissy Lips it is :-D.
I spent much of yesterday helping Kathy with 19 new lambs. While I hope I never have to help with a difficult birth, I'm a pretty good lamb and ewe watcher, a very good naval dipper and good for grunt labor like toting water buckets, hay, fresh bedding... I of course used any lulls in the action to take pictures :-).
And I almost brought this little tinkerbell home. She was the smallest of a set of quads (!) and kept getting pushed out of the way by all her bigger brothers and sisters, but by the end of the day she was perking right along. Kathy tube fed her a few times to make sure she was getting enough to eat and I carried her around when she was cold (tough job ;-). I can't imagine she was much bigger than Maisie was!
Here she's sleeping snuggled up with one of her brothers. So sweet.
The whole fam-damily :-).
This next picture...I just love. While there's nothing any cuter than a sleeping lamb, this momma is sure giving it a run for the money. Let's peek in on her.
Those good mommas.

AAAAAGGHHHH!!! That momma using her lambs for pillows is priceless. The quad momma looks amazingly unscathed...and Tinkerbelle...can you stick her in a priority mail box to me??
What fun for you! Kissy lips for sure...nothing cuter than newborn lambs...well except maybe BC puppies:)
Oh my goodness! I'm on cuteness overload!! Gorgeous photos. The fields are bouncing with lambs here. I want them all!
Aaaaawwwwww your killing me with these pictures! They are so darn cute!!!
heart. melts.
Oh my goodness.
Love those kissy lips !
What great mommas and what a great helper you are to them.
Great pics!
The ewe looks quite pleased with herself in one of those shots :)
Beautiful mamas and babies. They warm my heart. :). Love!
I've never seen anything as sweet as those babies! Love the mama's too! I needed this today! Thanks!
Poor momma -- having four babies!! She is probably as sore as she is tired!!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
(feeling that I should be more articulate, but not having anything to add -- other than -- nice captures!)
Thank you for sharing the sweetness! What kind of sheep does Kathy raise? I can tell they aren't short tailed sheep breeds but apparently I need more wool to ID!
It's hard to beat a lamb in the cuteness competition. The wee ones are especially endearing. Glad to hear the quads are OK. I've only ever had 2 sets and that was plenty. Quadruple the amount of worry that all are getting what they need! Great pictures. Such a tough day you had ;-)
Hello, All the sheep are so adorable. You just want to give them all a big hug. Your farm looks so very nice and your grass is so green. Lovely. I have just posted your blog on my blog roll. I look forward to following your beautiful blog. Hugs Judy
Nice to see the lambing going so well. Not much cuter than a pile of lambs (except for a baby donkey:).
So precious.
I am so grateful I sat down to look at blogs for a few minutes this afternoon... what wonderful, wonderful pictures, and the last one... gosh.
Cuteness overload!
Your pictures and the stories that accompany them always put a smile on my face.:)
Thank you!
There is something about Mothers! Wonderful Photos! [As Usual]
Lamb pillows beat Serta anytime!
Dang, you just missed another opportunity to be a foster PHEW!
So glad all are doing well. Cuteness overload is right!!
They are all the sweetest!
I think, if you ever decide to post BOTH Kissy Lips AND Teefers, you will have to put a warning in the title. It may be too much to bear...just sayin'. I just love that picture of the sleeping mama with her brood. It is priceless. And you didn't take Tinkerbell? I would have tucked her in a pocket and kept walking right out the door....lambie-napping.
