When I let Iris and Weaslie out this morning I got a kick out of our "white" fencing. The first snow. I also saw a few brave sheep venturing out, so grabbed the camera. I knew Hank would be in the lead. He's a snow dog :-). And even if he wasn't, he's a still-head-out-with-his-sheeps-after-a-long-night-at-work-even-if-he-hated-snow-sort-of-dog.
And who were the snow sheep?
Aw, it's Blossom and Maisie. I always like to be out there to see the lamb's first experience with snow. Not so with Maisie. We lived it last year. And yes, Chocula did try to come out with Blossom, but he's so afraid of her "dad" that he turned tail and ran back to the barn. With the rest of the sheep ;-).

We woke up to snow! And the nice temps we have been having are dropping!
I guess it is that time of year.
pretty pictures!
Snow is like frosting on a cake..it looks so nice.. IT's now 17 degrees outside here in Iowa but it's a very sunny day...and yes, we have snow. Like it or not we have snow..
I like the snow...
I'm glad to see Hank this morning leading the brave ones out to the field...
Have a tiggeriffic day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)
Brrr, am I the only one not crazy about snow? I wouldn't mind it so bad if it didn't have to be so cold to get it. Lol. Anyway, this one missed us. I'm sure we will get our share before the year is over.
AW great, gorgeous shots.
We are getting our first snow here today.
I am always amazed at the wonderful instinct of certain herd breed dogs to be so devoted to their flock.
What a great guardian Hank is ! Love the photo.
Great photos be sure to bookmark for next years calendars. No rain here, just gray skies, and no rain in the forecast.
You have such a lovely farm.... even in the snow!
Good dog, Hank.
Your snow is beautiful!! Hard to believe it's that time of year already!! Here in Atlanta we are going down into the 20s and may have a few flurries. Interesting how Maisie and Blossom are buds!! Both being hand raised.
Beautiful!
Guess the wooly caterpillar with the heavy coat had a reason for being so warmly dressed!
What a beautiful thing to wake to.
We are still in the 70's, but tomorrow it's suppose to only be in the 50's. Alas, no snow, but I keep wishing!
Maisie is not about to miss a moment of what life has to offer.
What a difference a year makes. Maisie was just an itsy-bitsy sheepie last year and look at her now.Playing with the big boys (Hank) and girls!
Love the pictures! Love when it snows:-).
We enjoyed our first snow here as well. A big deal here in KY in November!
Beautiful morning back your way! We had our first dusting of snow a month ago. Was in the 60's yesterday, and sapose to be a little warmer today. Waiting for 'the shoe to drop'. When it's this warm, this late... stock up, it's gonna be a big one when it comes :-)
Can't believe you already have snow! It's really cold here in Missouri (14 this morning) but no snow (yet). I guess winter if coming a little early this year.
