I got the privilege of going out to Tanglewood Farm this afternoon to take some pictures from day two of Dianne's natural dye workshop taught by Dagmar Klos, author of The Dyer's Companion. No surprise, the venue, hostess, instructor, students, subject matter...were all beyond outstanding. I can't wait to see their final results.
As I was reviewing my photographs I found a whole series of foggy morning shots I'd taken here a couple days ago and almost forgotten about. A little of nature's colorwork with some intricate spinning and weaving thrown in to freak Karen out because you know I love my spiders :-).

the spider web in the 4th shot from below looks pale pink and then changes to pale green, only to fade to its natural white color. Very cool!

I love the pink and green web too! Can't figure out exactly how that happened. Must be a reflection (?) as I don't see anything behind shining through. I love when my camera shows me something I didn't see before.
Great shots, now you can put together a flower calendar also. Love the foggy morning photo.
The tri-color web is stunning (I, too, thought it might be reflecting the colors around it --but then, it might just be spider magic), and the last photo looks like sparkly cake icing -good enough to eat.
But it is the 11th frame that brought me to giggles and awe. That is one industrious spider! (...or just showing off!)

Those web captures are works of art! Perhaps the spider doing the rainbow web attended Diane's dye class !

Gorgeous! I too love spiders and their weavings. We humans didn't come up with many original ideas....
Marvelous web shots! I always stitch a spider web onto my crazy quilt pieces and often use them in my mixed media art.

Beautiful shots, as always. We are a ways from apple blossoms, but I know it's coming. We hope to start turning our sheep out for brief periods in the next day or so. Love the fog and dew.

Wow incredible photos! I am green with envy at all the green and pink! It is still so brown here as Spring is so late in arriving.
