Um, cookies ;-). Also, if you can get him cornered a few times and scratch his back - all the way up and down and around his shoulders... that will help. Best thing though is not not have to run him down - scary. Get him into a tiny spot so you can just calmly walk up to him and get your hand under his chin, stuff a cookie in his mouth and get to scratchin' ;-).
