You Gotta Wonder

Fabulously snowy morning! The wind was brutal while out feeding, but by the time I got back in it had calmed some and the birds were out en masse. I was thrilled to catch a bluejay and a cardinal in one shot, but upon reviewing my pictures, I think I might like the next two better.

Okay, watch the focus of the two birds.

What (or who) fell?

Had a request for an Olympic progress pic. I wanted to use the light from outside to show the pattern, but also show some of the snow. I'm glad to be getting a better handle on the depth of field stuff.

And out of the corner of my eye...

A corgi snow angel!

It's those cute 'lil short legs that keep us from killing her sometimes ;-).

Well after blogging hibernation I am back catching up. Lovely photos and the cardinals are so colorful. That Ms weasely is so cute! What model is your new camera? I hope to come to KY for the sheep dog trials and fiber fest I saw it on ravelry. Next trip I will definitely get to meet you. It's cold here but no snow.

As for Weaslie..there was probably something dead under there HAHAHA!!! Never as innocent as making an angel!

I love the vibrant colors of the bird pictures! I have at least 6 cardinals that visit daily. How can one not love the humor and antics of a short legged corgis esp. when they nip at your heels cuz your too slow for them:) I loved the corgis pics too btw!

I have yet to get some great shots of birds. Caught a few of ducks, but nothing like your cardinals.

I love all your photos but the ones of the cardinals are stunning. I used to have them in VT but have only had them at my feeder twice here in Maine.
Your snow pics are beautiful as well - we are almost snowless although they say that may change tomorrow. It was like spring today :)

How lucky to get pics of the birds. I try but they sense me and fly away.

Your project looks like it's coming along nicely, and you gotta love corgi snow angels. Looks like fun!

Great color and crisp capture of the birds! Earmark these as "card-worthy" :-)
The cowl picture came out looking as soft as I would have imagined. I could almost reach out and touch the fibers. You are off to an olympic start to be sure!
I have never seen a little dog make a snow angel. What a hilarious video that would have made. And just where is her halo?!

Too funny! I guess you are not the only one in the family in love with snow. Our Texas dogs do this in the dirt...dirt angels? LOL! Great bird pics, and the Pretty Thing is starting to live up to its name.

I love the snow angels. And the bird photos are framing worthy!
